The maximum penalty for violations of federal DOL posting requirements is now going up by more than $400. The new maximum fine amounts are:
• Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA): $178
• Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC): $576
• Job Safety and Health: It's the Law (OSHA): $13,653
• Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA): $21,663

Energy Star Program

The ENERGY STAR is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) voluntary program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through energy efficiency. The ENERGY STAR program was established by EPA in 1992, under the authority of the Clean Air Act Section 103(g). as a voluntary program to identify and promote energy-efficient products and buildings in order to reduce energy consumption, improve energy security, and reduce pollution through voluntary labeling of or other forms of communication about products and buildings that meet the highest energy efficiency standards. Education and Training programs

The EPA, DOT and OSHA require a number of certifications and training in order to work in certain positions, even positions that you might not expect. For example, hazardous waste training courses are usually required for health related degrees such as Gerontology degrees and Nursing programs.
