OSHA Penalties Are Increasing in 2016 Due to the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015The Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015 which was signed into law by President Obama on November 2, 2015 contained a Section 701, "Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015" which requires OSHA to increase its civil penalties for the first time since 1990.
